Replace One Tooth Without Compromising the Rest

When you’re missing just one tooth—whether from injury, decay, or a failed root canal—there’s no reason to settle for a partial denture or damage nearby teeth with a bridge. A single dental implant is the most natural, long-lasting way to restore your smile.

At Carolina Implants, we use advanced digital planning and surgical precision to give you a tooth that looks and functions like it was never missing.

What Is a Single Tooth Implant?

A single dental implant is a titanium post that replaces the root of your missing tooth. It’s surgically placed in your jawbone, then topped with a custom designed crown that blends perfectly with your natural teeth.

FAQs

At Carolina Implants, we utilize the latest technology including state-of-the-art CBCT and guided surgery to ensure an ideal and highly predictable outcome. Our team of highly trained doctors have completed multiple residencies focused primarily on dental implant placement and restoration. With decades of experience in the field, we have the confidence to treat a wide variety of cases from the simplest to the most complex.

While every patient has to be treated on a case-by-case basis, we will commonly place your implant (known as an immediate implant) the same day your tooth is extracted. For front teeth, we can also commonly attach a temporary tooth the same day so that when you leave you look the same as when you walked into the office. Other cases, depending on the health of the jaw bone, can require a waiting period for a bone graft to heal. We will explain everything for your individual case at your consultation.

Once the dental implant is placed into the jawbone, we allow it to integrate into your bone over a period of 3 months. After this, we will take an impression of that area of your mouth and fabricate your permanent crown which is connected to your implant. During the waiting period, predominantly if the missing tooth is in the front of the mouth, we will provide a temporary solution to maintain your smile.

In an effort to be as transparent and honest as possible, we list all our pricing directly on our website. Click here to see pricing. While providing the highest-quality possible, we always strive to keep our pricing well below the national average as we believe this process should be attainable for everyone wanting to restore their smile and confidence.

For the surgery itself, we will ensure that you are fully numb and not experiencing any pain. We also offer a variety of sedation options for your comfort including oral sedation, IV sedation, and general anesthesia.

Post-operatively, we always advise that every patient is different, but, on average, most patients having a single tooth dental implant placed report mild discomfort for 2-3 days. We will provide pain medication to alleviate this discomfort.

Your permanent crown on your dental implant should function and look just like your natural teeth. The feel can be slightly different, but not uncomfortable in any way. You will clean (brushing and flossing) around the crown of the implant the same as you would the rest of your teeth.
